Project Description
At the Hall Of Fame, an old man recalls when baseball was played for the love of the game. The old codger’s lament stirs the spirits of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, and they make a pact with heaven to go back to earth to play one final season, bringing with them the rest of the 1927 Yankees, the “greatest team there ever was.” They materialize in the form of the Nashville Singers, a lowly expansion team, and soon, the ghosts of “Murderer’s Row” are demolishing the opposition and bringing back the American game. But will their magic run out before they play the present day Yankees in the World Series? “The Greatest There Ever Was” will bring goosebumps to anyone who ever believed in God, motherhood, and… baseball!
