Menehune (SF) (H)

Strange things are happening at the Keck Observatory on Mauna Kea, an extinct volcano standing 13,796 feet above sea level on the Big Island of Hawaii. While astronomers map the stars, their equipment gets damaged, rocks seem to mysteriously move, and they come to the surreal conclusion that they are dealing with Hawaiian Menehune, Leprechaun-like warriors bent on hellish destruction. Deciding their jobs are not worth the dangers they encounter, the astronomers attempt to flee but find that they are trapped on top of the mountain and must fight for their very survival. A contemporary thriller based on a Hawaiian urban legend, Menehune will prove that absolute terror can come in very small packages. Writers: Eric Nemoto, Jon Brekke. Pages: 110.
