The history of The Actors’ Group, performed as a play to help bring awareness to TAG’s need to find a new theater. It is the story of the curious ensemble of actors once described as being more like “penicillin mold,” that grows into the “little theater that could,” subsequently earning a reputation for producing some of Honolulu’s finest plays in what is probably the city’s most intimate theater, “Yellow Brick Studio.” Great entertainment, “From Penicillin To Po`okelas” covers over a decade’s worth of interesting anecdotes that have contributed to making The Actors’ Group the truly innovative theater that it is today. Writer: Eric Nemoto. Pages: 59. Note: Has been produced as a stage play.
